Philosophy
Linda Winegardner MD and staff believe a patient’s health needs are best served by a good relationship between the patient and his or her physician. The patient deserves a physician/provider who will listen to his or her concerns as well as a physician who stays current on the latest medical developments. Dr. Winegardner and staff care and are abreast of the latest medical developments and are responsive to patient needs. We look forward to serving all patients in the Lake Norman area including Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson.

Independant Physicians are the best value!
Why? Because insurance companies negotiate lower contract rates with us which means less cost to your HSA/deductible. Our contract reimbursement is often 30% to 50% less than hospital based practices. Why? Large practices must charge more to cover the cost of their large staffs and buildings. Physicians in those practices are also under a lot of pressure to be more productive (e.g. see more patients) and may refer to specialists and imaging studies more quickly that a physician who sees fewer patients and has no special connection to a large medical facility. Smaller is often better in primary care medicine! Give us a chance to prove it!

Linda Winegardner MD
Dr. Winegardner is Board Certified in Family Practice and has over 19 years experience in urgent care and family medicine. She earned her BS in Biology from Converse College and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency in Charleston, South Carolina.
She is married, has two grown children and has lived in the Lake Norman area for over thirteen years.
Born and raised in the Carolinas, Dr. Winegardner enjoys the climate and charm of its people. She has a strong desire to contribute to the well being of those same people through high quality medical care.

Tonya Anderson, FNP-BC
Tonya Anderson is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She has over 14 years experience as a health care provider. Tonya earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Gardner-Webb Univerisity and her degree as an advanced practice nurse from the University of South Carolina.
As a native to the Charlotte area, she enjoys the wonderful weather and atmosphere that North Carolina provides. Tonya is married and has been blessed with two beautiful girls. Her favorite pasttimes includes playing the piano and spending time with family.
Tonya also teaches nursing and nurse practitioner students at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. She has special interest in diabetes management, wellness promotion, and women's health. She believes in high quality medical care by listening to the patients needs and keeping them actively involved with their healthcare.

Appointments are required for medical care. “Same day” appointments are usually available to address your immediate health needs.
Our normal hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 to 5:00 and Wednesday 8:00 to 12:00

Insurance and Billing
We accept almost all major insurance plans and credit cards. Very reasonable discounts are available for uninsured patients when paid in full at the time of service.
